Accelerated Reader (AR) is the world’s most popular reading management software. Accelerated Reader provides teachers and parents with an easy and effective way to monitor all forms of guided reading practice.
Accelerated Reader’s three easy steps are as follows:

Student Reads a Book. The student selects an appropriate book from the school media center or local library. Our schol media center will have placed an orange spot on the spine if it is an AR book. |

Student Takes a Quiz. AR offers more than 75,000 quizzes on library books. These quizes can be acessed on the classroom computers or on those in the media center. Most quizes are out of 5 or 10 questions. Students are given an immediate score and feedback on how they did. |

3. |
Information. Easy-to-read reports and a points summary on the reading level and comprehension skills of each student to guide instruction and help the student select more reading materials. Most classes also have an award system to recognise those students earning lots of points
